Director Michael S. Rodriguez and executive producer Tino Zamora present a unique blend of drama, history, and horror in Lake of Shadows: The Legend of Avocado Lake. Avocado Lake is real, and so are the numerous deaths that have occurred there. The film follows three aspiring journalists as they investigate these deaths and the lake’s dark, dangerous waters.

It’s going to be a really fast-paced film. You’re gonna get a lot of information about this lake, and at the same I was able to write a story about journalists trying to find the truth and stumbling upon secrets and evidence.

This film is a long time coming. As a resident in the area of Avocado Lake, we grew up hearing the stories, heard the warnings and often times just stared at the lifeless waters. Tino Zamora and Michael Rodriguez are a wonderful collaborative team with a crew of talented and gifted artists, actors and families. This film is bringing a spin to a local legend and one of our favorite “I dare you to go in” spots. After all, everyone knows there’s something sinister about Avocado Lake.

    • Thank you for sharing your firsthand experience with Avocado Lake and your thoughts about Lake of Shadows. There are some supposedly haunted locations around here in Sacramento, but I don’t think we have a lake like yours! I think it is great that Tino and Michael were able to bring some of the local legends surrounding the lake to life. Hopefully The Dead Walk will be able to draw more attention to their talent and the talent of the people who work with them.
